Flash sale sites likeGilt Groupe have been wildly popular for their discount clothing and other products. That has spawned many others in the space from mom’s sites to a variety of niches.
An Indian private sale site, Exclusively.in has raised $16 million in Series B financing led by Tiger Global Management. Also participating were existing investors Accel Partners India and Helion Venture Partners.
The site has focused on selling Indian products such as fashion, jewelry and home products to overseas U.S. customers, but it is now expanding into the U.K. It also plans to launch in Canada and India itself soon. The company recentlylaunched luxury and travel verticals as well.
Launched in June 2010, the company has featured more than 250 Indian designers since then.
