Producers Angry Birds Will IPO Next Year?

NEW YORK, Rovio Entertainment Oy, a company Angry Birds game maker, plans to offer IPO next year. Marketing DirectorPeter Vesterbacka said Rovio, initial public offering would generate $ 1 billion U.S. dollars.


"We are not prepared to go public tomorrow. Maybe a year from now," said Peter, who was nicknamed Mighty Eagle.

Angry Birds game today has been downloaded more than 400million since 2009. Nearly 75 percent of the number of usersdownloading Angry Bird in the last six months.

In addition to game makers, Rovio is currently developing retail business and film. Enterprise value is estimated at more than 1billion U.S. dollars.

Angry Bird earn revenue from advertising, sales and merhandisegames such as t-shirts, Halloween costumes, dolls andcookbooks. Merchandising business is about 10 percent to 20percent of business Rovio. "We are very, very profitable. We are not a public company can finance its own growth," he said.
