Jakarta - Cooperative Citizens Semen Gresik (KWSG) plans to conduct an IPO (Initial Public Offering / IPO). This idea appears related to their income is constantly increasing.
"Discourse doing an IPO is already there. Because we actually have decent floor on the stock," said Chairman of the Board KWSG, I Ketut Putra Arsha, in a release published here on Tuesday (12/07/2011).
Over the past year, the cooperative posted revenue of Rp 1.167 trillion, up 101% over the previous period. This impact on the increase in distribution of net income (SHU) members. A total of Rp 20.73 billion has been distributed to members of KWSG earnings results.
But the IPO plan still must be approved by meeting of members as the highest decision within the cooperative.
In commemoration of the 64th Cooperatives, he said, KWSG received the title "Cooperative Best" in the event the Cooperative Award from the President. This achievement is inseparable from the participation of all members, employees, customers or other parties so that KWSG become one of the pioneers of cooperatives in Indonesia.
"We hope this can serve as momentum for raising public awareness in making cooperatives as the economic populist movements throughout Indonesia," said President Director of PT Semen Gresik Tbk, Dwi Soetjipto.

KWSG was established on January 29, 1963, under the name "Cooperative Enterprise Business Solutions Company Employees State Semen Gresik." On 2 November 1991 made changes name to Citizens Cooperative Semen Gresik.
Cooperatives whose members include employees and retirees under 14 units consisting of Semen Gresik Son Enterprises, Affiliated Institutions, and Supporting Institutions.
Until now the number KWSG membership has reached 5819 people. KWSG an all-round cooperative venture which is engaged in trade in goods and services include: savings and loans; shops, printing, and jasaboga; trade of building materials; general trade, and expeditions.
