Jakarta - Having mastered the majority ownership of PT AlfaRetailindo Tbk (ALFA), PT Carrefour Indonesia intends to attractALFA from the trading floor and a private company to go privatealias (delisted). Over the plan, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI)suspended (suspension) stock trading.
"Regarding a plan Alfa Retailindo do go private, the Exchangedecided to do a temporary suspension of trade effect," said Head of Valuation Services Sector Umi Kulsum in the disclosure of information in IDX's official website on Thursday (04/28/2011).
Pengehentian trade this stock will take effect until the furtherannouncement of the capital market authority.
"Exchange is currently requesting further clarification to the Company. Exchange requested the interested parties to alwayspay attention to the disclosure of information submitted by AlfaRetailindo," he explained.
Until late last year, ALFA has 16 hypermarkets under the Carrefourname, 12 supermarkets under the name Carrefour Express andthree supermarket called Carrefour Market in Indonesia.
Currently 99.89% (467.5 million shares) shareholding ALFAcontrolled by PT Carrefour Indonesia. While the remaining 0.11%or 499 thousand equivalent shares outstanding in public.
