10 Highest Rated Mutual Funds ?

Anga Aliya - detikFinance Jakarta - At least 10 mutual fund products and unit linked achieve top performance rating based on the categories of technical efficiency, risk and return. We have a total of 700 mutual funds and 282 linked units issued and registered in Indonesia. 


The results Bisnis Indonesia Intelligence Unit (BIIU), shows the 10 mutual fund products and unit linked it emerged from the five categories. Each is a category of fixed income, stock, mix, money market, and protected.
According, Researcher BIIU Anton Hermansyah, performance measurement of mutual funds and unit linked using DEA calculations (technical efficiency), Treynor (risk and return based on stadar deviation), and Sharpe (risk and return based on Betha).
"Because there are different types of mutual funds and unit linked which lead to variations in the rate of return and standard deviation, each group of mutual funds is calculated one by one," he said in a research received detikFinance on Wednesday (02/16/2011).
This research was carried out on mutual funds and unit linked stocks, fixed income, mixed, and protected. Where the performance of mutual funds and unit linked to be measured by the performance of the last three years.
Mutual funds and unit linked under study must have a positive return, the availability of complete data on daily NAV, annual reports and complete cost structure for a minimum of three years.
At the end of December 2010, the number of samples of a mutual fund that meets the three criteria mentioned above to be studied are as many as 25 equity funds, 38 fixed income funds, 42 mutual funds, and 13 protected funds. While the number of linked units that were studied were linked stock 29 units, 29 unit-linked fixed income, 35 units of mixed-linked, seven unit linked protected.
