Japan Stocks Drop on U.S. Data, Yen Before BOJ Decision

Japan’s Nikkei 225 (NKY) Stock Average narrowed losses after the Bank of Japan (8301)delivered its first policy decision since Haruhiko Kuroda took over as governor last month.

The Nikkei 225 fell 1.2 percent to 12,215.46 as of 1:42 p.m. in Tokyo after falling as much as 2.3 percent. The broader Topix Index lost 0.6 percent to 1,004.85.
