New York: Trading on Wall Street, Friday morning(16/12) closed higher. Stock markets rose after three days has decreased. Declining unemployment claims data and improvedmanufacturing. This condition gives hope that the U.S. economyis pretty solid, so easing worries about Europe.
The S & P 500 rose for the first time in four days. This indexclosed up by 0.3% to 1215.90 points. The Dow Jones seems to have increased by 45.33 points (0.38%) in the position of11868.80 points.
U.S. stock markets has increased after the release of joblessclaims data from the Labor Department showed that there was a decrease of 19.000 people become 366.000 people last week.This figure was the lowest since May 2008. Meanwhile, reportsfrom the manufacturing sector showed that manufacturing activityin New York and Philadelphia expanded more than projected in December.
