Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HPQ): Closing price $20.37
On Tuesday, two leading proxy advisers pressed HP shareholders to remove a number of board directors for their part in the ill-fated 2011 purchase of the United Kingdom software firm Autonomy.
ISS, the top proxy adviser which is closely followed by investors seeking guidance on controversial matters, has suggested that the investors vote against Chairman Ray Lane and fellow board members John Hammergren and G. Kennedy Thompson.
