Last week, Facebook (NASDAQ: FB ) unveiled its new Home layer of services and features that sits on top of Google (NASDAQ: GOOG ) Android.
This is the perfect mobile strategy for the social network, since it won't have to compete directly with primary platforms such as Android and Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL ) iOS. Instead, it can ride their success and further engage users by being a secondary platform. Facebook has scored integration within iOS, but Apple's controlling ways mean it couldn't get the level of integration that Home offers.
