Gold companies shares up at the close of trading
NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of some top gold companies were up at the close of trading:
Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.36 or 1.4 percent, to $26.69.
Gold Fields Ltd ADS rose $.44 or 6.1 percent, to $7.63.
GoldCorp. rose $1.01 or 3.2 percent, to $32.41.
Newmont Mining Corp. rose $1.02 or 2.6 percent, to $40.03.
