Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Pitney Bowes (PBI): Some 15,000 July 15 calls were bought for $0.40 and $0.45 as investors position for upside in the share price. PBI rose 0.11 percent to $14.05.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM): Some 10,000 April 5 calls were bought for $0.05, but volume was far below open interest at the strike. PPHM rose 11 percent to $1.55.
PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ): Some 10,000 March 80 calls were bought for $0.01 against open interest, suggesting that a short position was closed. QQQ rose 0.10 percent to $68.76.
